Nach den letzten Tagungen und den vielen on- und offline Diskussionen m\u00c3\u00b6chte ich hier nun vermehrt auch das Thema Medienkompetenz aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven beleuchten. Anfangen m\u00c3\u00b6chte ich mit zwei Videos, die das Konzept \u00c2\u00abNew Media Literacies 2008\u00c2\u00bb von Henry Jenkins n\u00c3\u00a4her beleuchten. Unter dem Stichwort „What Should We Teach? Rethinking Literacy“ definiert Jenkins\u00c2\u00a0 11 Kernkompetenzen, die vor allem f\u00c3\u00bcr die Partiziation in digitalen Medienwelten zentral sind – im folgenden Video vorgetragen von Nutzerinnen und Nutzern:

\nmental capacities
\nCollective Intelligence<\/strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u201d the ability to pool knowledge and compare notes with others
\ntoward a common goal
\nJudgment<\/strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u201d the ability to evaluate the reliability and credibility of different information
\nsources
\nTransmedia Navigation<\/strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u201d the ability to follow the flow of stories and information
\nacross multiple modalities
\nNetworking<\/strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u201d the ability to search for, synthesize, and disseminate information
\nNegotiation<\/strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u201d the ability to travel across diverse communities,discerning and respecting

Solche Aufz\u00c3\u00a4hlungen von medienkompetenten Verhaltensweisen gibt es auch unter dem Stichwort 21th century skills einige, sowohl im englisch- als auch im deutschsprachigen Bereich. Auch der Bereich des critical thinking wartet mit allerlei Kompetenz-Listen auf, \u00c3\u00bcber die kritische Denker verf\u00c3\u00bcgen sollen. Auffallend bei allen Auflistungen ist, dass viele dieser Kompetenzen zum einen durch technische Entwicklungen, zum anderen durch normative Vorstellungen begr\u00c3\u00bcndet und gepr\u00c3\u00a4gt werden.<\/p>\n
