Ganz frisch aus der Presse ein interessanter Call f\u00c3\u00bcr ein Buchprojekt zu „Mobile learning in Unternehmen<\/strong>„. Herausgegeben von Norberg Pachler<\/a> (WLE London), Christoph Pimmer<\/a> (FHNW Basel) und Judith Seipold<\/a> (Uni Kassel) verspricht dieses Buch doch einiges an Qualit\u00c3\u00a4t f\u00c3\u00bcr eine Feld, dass bisher noch wenig systamtisch erschlossen ist.<\/p>\n

The editors welcome chapters on theoretical frameworks, concepts as well as latest empirical results in the field of work-based mobile learning. The aim is to provide innovative approaches of how mobile devices can
\nencourage work-based learning activities. Contributions can relate to placements as part of education courses, to (semi-formal) on-the job training provided within organisations or to the manifold forms of informal and incidental learning experiences at the work place. Also, contributions, which consider life-long learning as a sustainable basis for work-based learning and critical reviews of cultural implications of work-based learning, are welcome.
\nTopics of interest in the field of mobile work-based learning include, but are by no means not limited to:<\/p>\n

– collaboration,
\n– mentoring, coaching & facilitating
\n– assessment methods,
\n– contextualisation and personalisation of content,
\n– location awareness,
\n– performance support,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nApril 27, 2009:
\nFirst deadline for expressions of interest in the form
\nof a 250-500 word abstract to the editors c\/o

May 18th, 2009:
\nNotifications of invitations to submit a chapter \/
\nnotification of rejection.
\nTwo further calls will be issued (June, November 2009).<\/p>\n

January 4, 2010:
\nAuthor deadline for submission of completed
\nmanuscripts of around 5,000 words.<\/p>\n

February 1, 2010:
\nEditor deadline for reviewing chapters and returning
\ncomments to authors; each contribution will be sent to
\ntwo referees for double blind peer review.<\/p>\n

February 26, 2010:
\nAuthor deadline for making revisions and submitting final
\nchapters.<\/p>\n

September 2010:
\nExpected publication date.<\/p>\n
